# Quickstart: buy GB and connect through the Pool Gateway

Last verified: 2026-10-28. Base URL `https://api.proxies.sx/v1`. Every money step needs the user's approval of the amount. Full contract: https://agents.proxies.sx/pool/skill.md

1. **Sign up** (2 per minute per IP; disposable email domains are refused).
   ```bash

   Verify: 201 and a verification email arrives. Sign-in answers 401 `EMAIL_NOT_VERIFIED` until step 2.
2. **Verify the email** (a human clicks the link, or you call it with the token from the link; the token lives 24 hours).

   Verify: 200 with `access_token`. Later sign-ins: `POST /v1/login/signin {"email","password"}` -> `{"access_token":"eyJ..."}`.
3. **Create an API key** in the dashboard (https://client.proxies.sx/account, API keys; tick `billing:topup` if the agent should request top-ups) or with the JWT:

   Verify: `{"apiKey":"psx_...","keyInfo":{...}}`; the key is shown once. A key cannot create keys.
4. **Top up the balance** (needs the user's yes on the amount): https://agents.proxies.sx/quickstart/topup.md, or the dashboard https://client.proxies.sx/billing. Verify: `curl -s https://api.proxies.sx/v1/account/summary -H "X-API-Key: $KEY"` shows the new `balance`.
5. **Buy GB** in the dashboard at https://client.proxies.sx/purchase (a customer API key cannot; a dashboard JWT can: `POST /v1/billing/purchase-traffic {"amount": 50}`). Preview first:

   Verify: `GET /v1/account/summary` shows `trafficGB.available` above 0.
6. **Set the proxy password** (required; the gateway never accepts the account login password).

7. **Connect.** Country, pool and rotation live in the username; stock per country is public:

   Verify: an IP `x.x.x.x` comes back (HTTP 200). A `407 E_BALANCE_EXHAUSTED: ...` means no GB left; `407 E_AUTH_INVALID` means the proxy password is wrong; `502 E_NO_STOCK_COUNTRY` means pick another country. All codes: https://agents.proxies.sx/errors.md

While country tiers are live (`pricing.live` in the stock response) a GB of traffic uses 1.00 / 0.375 / 0.1875 GB of balance by exit country; check `GET /v1/account/usage?period=7d` after the first run. Volume from 1 TB on the peer pool is quoted by maya@proxies.sx (from $0.50/GB), not bought at checkout.
